Holly and Phillip defended by co-star for being booed at NTAs in clash over queue jump – Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were defended by Nicola Thorp during an appearance on TalkTV as she discussed the pair getting booed at the National Television Awards on Thursday night.
Nicola Thorp, who regularly features as a guest on This Morning, stepped in to defend hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Friday night as they discussed the ITV show’s latest win at the National Television Awards. Holly and Phillip took to the stage on Thursday to accept This Morning’s award for Best Daytime Show. However, the pair were met with a smattering of boos from the crowds as they went up to collect the award.
It comes after the presenters were accused of “jumping” the queue when going to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Hall.
The duo have always insisted they never skipped the queue, explaining to This Morning viewers that they were there to film a segment for the show.
However, Holly and Phillip were the main topic of discussion on Mike Graham’s late-night show.
The presenter chatted with panellists Nicola Thorp, Kevin O’Sullivan, Penny Smith and JJ Anisiobi about their NTA win.
